Scraps to Scrunchies

Our scrunchies started as a way to use the cut-offs from our Liquid Pillows project. Marbling is a very delicate process and errors and mistakes often happened. We had a whole pile of these long fabric strips that actually looked pretty, eventhough they had a few irregularities in their prints. We thus needed to give them a form which allowed for the beauty to be used, yet still hit the mistakes. And what better way than to scrunch up the fabric! Today we print fabric specifically to make scrunchies, but we still include all scrap pieces and fabric with process errors.
